Abstract:Summary: Two synthetic approaches to modify the surface of inorganic particles are presented. In the first approach the inorganic particles are prepared in-situ in a confined space in inverse emulsions. The used amphiphilic statistical copolymers act not only as emulsifiers, but they also hydrophobize the remaining inorganic particles after the precipitation. This approach represents a versatile method to obtain various inorganic nanoparticles as well as more complex inorganic materials like coremultiple shell… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
