Complex Dynamics of a Low-Carbon Supply Chain with Government Green Subsidies and Carbon Cap-and-Trade Policies

Abstract: This paper considers a two-echelon supply chain consisting of one government, one manufacturer and one retailer in the presence of government green subsidies and carbon cap-and-trade policies. The manufacturer adopts eco-friendly technologies to produce green products for curbing carbon emissions, and the retailer is responsible for selling green products to consumers who exhibit low-carbon preferences. Two noncooperative game models, that is, the manufacturer-led Stackelberg model and the vertical Nash model,… Show more

“…Liu and Chen [12] investigated the problem of optimal order and production strategies for stochastic demand supply chains under a trading mechanism in the context of carbon caps. Zhang et al [13] explored the impact of disruptions in the low-carbon supply system on channel members, considering the existence of government green subsidies and carbon cap-and-trade policies. All the above literature conducts research in the context of government implementation of carbon cap-and-trade, which provides a rich theoretical basis for relevant shipbuilding companies.…”

“…Green low-carbon logistics path optimization is essentially a Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) [4]. Green low-carbon logistics path optimization technology is under certain constraints, in order to minimize the driving distance, carbon emissions and other costs as the goal, for the logistics vehicle planning from the warehouse to each customer point of the best driving route [5].…”

“…The EU carbon tariffs are about to take effect, making carbon emitting giants seeking carbon reduction measures and building photovoltaic power plants a new necessity (Zhang & Zhang, 2022). However, for the photovoltaic industry chain, except for photovoltaic power plant enterprises, the carbon emissions of other industry chain entities are still relatively high.…”
