Complex dynamic behavior of a rumor propagation model with spatial-temporal diffusion terms

Abstract: Rumor propagation as a typical form of social communication in online social networks has had a significant negative impact on a harmonious and stable society. With the rapid development of mobile communication equipments, traditional rumor propagation models, which depend on ordinary differential equations (ODE), may not be suitable for describing rumor propagation in an online social network. In this paper, based on reaction-diffusion equations, we propose a novel epidemic-like model with both discrete and n… Show more

Considering the diversity of software, based on the study of the rumor propagation process in malware, the SEIRS-V model is proposed [34]. From the view of the classical SIR model, Tian designed the SSIC model, which can effectively intervene the rumor propagation [35].…”

“…Using real data coming from Digg (an online social network), Wang verified the reliability of the PDE model. Zhu, Zhao and Wang [26][27][28] studied several reaction-diffusion malware propagation models and obtained some results for stability and bifurcation of positive equilibrium points. Dai et al [29] studied a partial differential equation with a Robin boundary condition in online social networks and discussed temporal and spatial properties of social networks.…”
