This study was conducted with 158 students using a descriptive method. Available sampling was employed to choose the students from accounting, elementary education, psychology, and computer science faculties. Characteristics of individuals, including age, sex, education level and field of study, were recorded. The prevalence and severity of depression were measured in the sample based on the characteristics of the individuals. The prevalence of depression was 19.0%; 10.2% suffered from mild depression, 6.3% from moderate depression, 1.4% from moderately severe depression, and only 1.1% from severe depression.
