“…In our cohort of patients with gastrointestinal or head and neck cancer, nutritional risk was identi ed in 72.5% (PG-SGA SF) and malnutrition in 57.3% (SGA) and 87.1% (PG-SGA). Our results are consistent with those of previous studies investigating these two types of cancer, with malnutrition ranging from 43.8-86.3% depending on the nutritional assessment tool used [38][39][40][41]. In fact, PG-SGA can identify a higher prevalence of malnutrition because it is an oncologyspeci c tool that assesses symptoms and clinical conditions speci c to patients with cancer [15].…”

“…Recent research has highlighted PG-SGA as a robust predictor of hospital stay duration specifically for patients with cancer during treatment. 26 Additionally, other studies have indicated that NRS-2002 and PG-SGA-SF scores are inversely correlated with various nutritional parameters in cancer patients. 30 32 The findings of this study are consistent, as both nutritional risks scoring systems were negatively correlated with total protein, prealbumin, body weight, BMI, energy intake, protein intake, and other variables.…”

“…Previous studies have clearly demonstrated a significant association between malnutrition and adverse clinical outcomes in cancer patients. 7 , 11 , 25 , 26 As a result, NRS is both important and necessary for cancer patients. NRS-2002 and PG-SGA-SF are recommended for NRS in many countries, but this often necessitates a substantial professional workforce.…”
