Compilation of Parameter Control for Mapping the Potential Landslide Areas

Abstract: Batu Tourism City is located in a mountainous area, so based on information from the BNPB, it has quite a large potential for landslides. Landslide hazards can frequently disrupt public traffic due to road cuts. Landslide mapping digitally will contribute to handling and mitigation activities since the database can be updated in real time to anticipate landslide hazards. This study aims to map landslide-prone areas located in the Payung zone, Songgokerto Village, and Batu City. Landslide areas can be determine… Show more

“…There are no research methodologies for the sedimentary rock slope study that will be suitable for mitigation works with the other site [24]. However, convergent analysis in one methodology should guarantee the resulting study is applicable to assess the instability of natural sedimentary rock slopes or cliff walls at the existing site [25].…”

“…The rocks sampled for UCS testing, both in saturated and unsaturated conditions, were taken from three different locations [6]. The three locations are one of the areas with the highest landslide rate in Batu City (Figure 2) due to land use change, vegetation change, high slope steepness, and high rain intensity [25], so the physical properties of soil and rocks at the research location are predicted to have a high degree of saturation and weathering of the bedrock, this is one of the factors that cause rock collapse or landslides in the area.…”
