Compensation due to land use restrictions: the case of limited use area in the vicinity of Polish airports

Abstract: Research background: The economic benefits that arise with the development of airport infrastructure are accompanied by negative externalities. Legal, technical and institutional instruments are used to mitigate or limit these effects. It involves state intervention in the use of real estate located in the vicinity of the airport, and the cost of such an intervention. On the other hand, as a result of state interventions, real estate market mechanisms are distorted. The balance on the market, prices and as a r… Show more

“…The total gas cost is 21,000 gas as a base despite not having interacted with the contract, and every gas resulting from running a contract plus 21,000 gas is included in the overall gas. As shown in Figure 8, the theoretical computation cost for Ethereum based on the number of peers for every system is modeled [22][23][24]. As it is inferred from Figure 5, the power cost goes up from 6:00 to 8:00, 11:00 to 13:00, and 17:00 to 19:00 corresponding to the higher energy demand P EV for EV charging periods.…”

“…Restrictions on the use of land that is near airports can have significant economic impacts on both the local and community levels. These restrictions can obstruct the development of local infrastructure and economic growth, which can lead to social losses (Foryś, Głuszak, & Konowalczuk, 2019). Indirect effects generated by airport operations can harm the value of the properties in limited-use areas, which can lead to a reluctance among owners to invest in their properties or even to maintain them properly.…”

“…Social losses and obstruction of the development of local infrastructure and economic growth can be the result of this. (Foryś, Głuszak, & Konowalczuk, 2019). However, evidence from socio-economic impact assessments made on the Dholera International Aiport project in India, show that because of the construction only, around 200 skilled, semiskilled, and unskilled workers will be having direct employment, and after the construction is finished it is expected that the nearby area to be developed further for residential and commercial use (Nimesh, Hussain, & Sen, 2018).…”
