“…2). The DSC curves of HPMC, MCC, PVP and CCS show one thermal event at 58.30, 59.75, 68.20 and, 62.39 °C, respectively, corresponding to the dehydration and over 250 °C starts their thermal decomposition (Porfírio et al, 2015, Pereira et al, 2014). The LAC curve demonstrates three endothermic events related to dehydration (144.38 °C), melting point (216.11 °C), and thermal decomposition (240.31 °C), respectively (Pereira et al, 2014).…”

“…The exothermal peak temperature of the decomposition of BDNPA/F is shifted forward about 1.9°C in CTTHV/BDNPA/F mixture, falling in ‘A' rating. The gravimetric peak temperatures can be used for probing the compatibility, which avoids the obstacle aroused by the overlapping exothermal processes during the thermal decomposition of polymers 16,34,35 . The gravimetric peak temperature of CTTHV in the third stage is suitable to evaluate the effects of BDNPA/F on CTTHV, because the first and second stages of the thermal decomposition of CTTHV are overlapping with the BDNPA/F decomposition process.…”

“…According to the Figure 2B, the thermal weight loss peak temperatures of those stages are 365, 525°C respectively. The indivisible exothermal decomposition processes 16,34,35 of FO elastomer form a distinct exothermic peak near 379°C on the DSC curve of FO elastomer. After adding energetic plasticizer BDNPA/F into FO elastomer, it could easily be found that the initial thermal decomposition temperature of FO/BDNPA/F elastomers, compared with that of FO elastomer, is advanced by about 50 to 75°C as shown in Figure 2A, which can be attributed to the decomposition of BDNPA/F 16–18 .…”
