“…Here we can observe from Figure (b), that presence of CS in the blends has changed the diffraction patterns of PVA. One significant peak was observed at 2 θ of 19‐20° for each blend ratio, which indicates the strong inter and intramolecular hydrogen bonding between CS and PVA chains …”

“…The absorption band at 3341 cm −1 was attributed to the free and bound OH groups in SPI, and the peak at 1125 cm −1 was due to the PO groups stretching in tributyl phosphate. The PVA films exhibited several absorption peaks at 3410, 2940, 1095, and 847 cm −1 , which were attributed to the resonance of OH, CH 2 , CO, and CC, respectively . The peak of PO in tributyl phosphate was constant at the same ratio of introduction and thus was used as an interior standard peak.…”

“…The change in the characteristic shape of the CHI spectra, as well as the shifting of peak to a lower frequency range on account of hydrogen bonding between -OH of PVA and -OH or -NH 2 of chitosan were observed in the blended films [52]. These results suggested the formation of hydrogen bonds between the CHI and PVA molecules [53]. Special features are exhibited for the BAPS (Figure 1D).…”
