Compatibility of Male and Female Sexual Behaviour in Macaca arctoides

Abstract: and Summary This report describes factors influencing the attainment of orgasm in the stump‐tailed macaque in the laboratory. In the male, penile stimulation during copulation was not a sufficient condition for orgasm to occur; successful copulation had to be preceded by a high level of excitement triggered by various psychosocial factors.
