Compassion‐supported development: A humanistic approach to counseling supervision

Abstract: Research supports the positive implications of applying humanistic constructs such as empathy and compassion in counseling supervision. However, there is a clear lack of counseling supervision approaches that utilize compassion, specifically to facilitate the development of counselors-intraining. This article introduces a compassion-supported developmental approach to supervision.
