Objective. To determine yearly (phase 1) and cumulative (phase 2) publication records of pharmaceutical science faculty members at research-intensive colleges and schools of pharmacy. Methods. The publication records of pharmaceutical science faculty members at researchintensive colleges and schools of pharmacy were searched on Web of Science. Fifty colleges and schools of pharmacy were randomly chosen for a search of 1,042 individual faculty members' publications per year from 2005 to 2009. A stratified random sample of 120 faculty members also was chosen, and cumulative publication counts were recorded and bibliometric indices calculated.Results. The median number of publications per year was 2 (range, 0-34). Overall, 22% of faculty members had no publications in any given year, but the number was highly variable depending on the faculty members' colleges or schools of pharmacy. Bibliometric indices were higher for medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutics, with pharmacology ranking third and social and administrative sciences fourth. Higher bibliometric indices were also observed for institution status (ie, public vs private) and academic rank (discipline chairperson vs non-chairperson and professor vs junior faculty member) (p,0.01 for each). The median number of cumulative publications per faculty member was 34 (range, 0-370). Conclusion. Significant differences exist in yearly and cumulative publication rates for faculty members and bibliometric indices among pharmaceutical science disciplines and academic ranks within research-intensive colleges and schools of pharmacy. These data may be important for benchmarking purposes.

AbstractObjective -This study evaluates the effectiveness of the related search functions in Web of Science and Scopus. Web of Science has one related search function (searching by references) whereas Scopus has three related search functions (searching by references, authors, or keywords).Methods -Thirty queries were searched in both Web of Science and Scopus. For each query, the most relevant document was retrieved and its first thirty related documents were assessed for relevancy to the original query. Results for both databases were compared using the median values of precision. For Scopus the three different methods of relevance were compared using median precision values.Results -The median precision value for the related documents retrieved from Web of Science was 0.63, while the median for those retrieved from Scopus using the related by references function was 0.62. A Wilcoxon test showed no significant difference in the two medians. In the comparison of the three related functions in Scopus, the median precision values were 0.62, 0.42, and 0.43 for the related search functions by references, authors, and keywords respectively. A Friedman's test showed that the median precision value for relatedness by references was significantly higher than the median vales for the other two related functions. In Scopus, the Evidence Based Library and Information Practice 2011, 6.1 42 effectiveness of the related search function using all keywords was not as effective when compared to the effectiveness using select keywords. The median precision value with select keywords was 0.17.

Abstract. The number of disasters due to natural hazards and climate change are on the rise. Within the last decade the world has experienced the most frequent and impactful disasters. The year 2015 was the hottest year ever and the associated disaster impacts have drastically increased the cost to the society socially and economically. The Asia Pacific region has 10 been the place where these disasters occur the most. Indonesia, one of the countries in this region, is one of the most at risks from disasters and climate change impacts in this region.This paper aims to do a systematic literature review on published academic materials related to hazards, risks, disaster risks reduction (DRR) and climate change in Indonesia. Systematic literature review is defined as systematic or evidence-based literature reviews with explicit and transparent methods and follows a standard protocol or a series of stages so that bias can 15 be reduced and more importantly able to provide a comprehensive body of knowledge. While there is a vast material that have been published related to hazards and DRR on Indonesia, there has not yet a literature review that examines these materials in a comprehensive and systematic way. This systematic review is important since it outlines recent research progress over time which can help to determine which topics have been heavily researched and thus seeks to recommend future research needs. The author conducts a multi-staged literature review to study publications that are indexed within 20 SCOPUS. Multi-stage processes are taken to determine inclusion and exclusion for more relevant findings. The author also consults authors' and organizations profiles from Google Scholar, Research Gate, to determine gender, affiliations, and extent of publications.The first stage of search from Scopus gives a list of 5253 publications by which after second stage gives 1478 publications and third stage gives a final most relevant publication of 744. The findings are outlined in two parts. One on the results of the 25 analysis in terms of times of publications, most active researchers and research organizations, most cited papers, and categorization of major research topics. The other one is on the examinations on the roles of Indonesian authors and organizations in publishing in international journals, involvement in highly cited papers, and how collaborations have taken place amongst Indonesian and international researchers and organizations. This thus led to recommendations for capacity building in research in Indonesia. 30The findings on the first part are as follow. The final selected publications are categorized into three major topics of (1) hazard, risks and disaster assessments (HRD), (2) disaster risk reduction (DRR), and (3) climate change vulnerability, impacts and adaptation (CC).
