Abstract: Wheat dwarf virus (WDV) causes high yield losses in wheat and other cereals and is therefore an important pathogen transmitted by the leafhopper Psammotettix alienus. Climate change will increase infections by insect-transmitted viruses due to the increasing spread of vectors.
