Comparison of the Magnetic and Absorption Properties of Flaky Super Sendust and Sendust Alloys

Abstract: Super Sendust and Sendust alloy powders were ball-milled for the same time to produce flakes and their static and dynamic magnetic properties were determined. The average size of flaky Super Sendust alloy particles was approximately 45.25 lm; the average size of Sendust alloy flakes was 40 lm. Fe-Si-Al-Ni flaky particle composites have better electromagnetic properties than Fe-Si-Al flaky particles; they have lower complex permittivity and a permeability that is approximately 1.5 times the permeability of Fe-S… Show more

“…With a further increase in the annealing temperature, all the peaks became sharper and stronger. proposed [17,18]. In this study both equations were tested to measure the grain size and the strain of the flakes, but scattering of data was so severe so that the fitted values were meaningless.…”

“…Specifically, the FeSiAl sample had a high Ms value and exhibits typical ferromagnetic hysteresis behavior. The high Ms value contributes to the high initial permeability, which can provide a good impedance matching characteristic and broadband microwave absorption for the FeSiAl flakes [37].…”

“…Soft magnetic metallic materials already attracts much attention because it exhibits good absorbing properties at 2-18 GHz owing to its high curie temperature and the good temperature stability [9][10][11]. Iron, cobalt, nickel and corresponding metallic alloy is considered to be the best soft magnetic materials [12].…”
