Abstract: Background: The effects of intravenous and inhalation anesthesia on intraoperative and postoperative pulmonary inflammatory responses have been reported in many studies. The differences in clinical postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs) have been also studied in cardiac and lung resection surgery.
