“…Similar to our findings, Mick et al showed that del Nido solution is associated with potential time saving in adult isolated valve surgery compared to Buckberg solution . In another study Lee et al has shown that a suture fastener is superior in strength and consistency for prosthetic valve attachment with significant time saved due to its reproducibility . Another report by Grapow and Reuthebuch showed safe, reliable, and fast application of the novel automated fastener device in combination with significant savings in CPB time …”

“…Less invasive mitral valve (MV) repair through a mini‐thoracotomy has been shown to be safe and durable with benefits of decreased pain, shorter hospital stays, accelerated recovery, and improved cosmesis compared to the standard median sternotomy approach . Recently, new techniques and technologies such as single‐dose cardioplegia and suture fasteners have been introduced into the surgical armamentarium to increase operative efficiency . However, their safety profile and potential benefits are incompletely understood.…”

“…We have used the CK suture fastening device in mAVR to facilitate expedient prosthesis anchoring and improve time efficiency of the procedure. In ex vivo testing, CK-fastened sutures have been found to have greater holding pressure and less variation in attachment pressures than sutures manually tied with a knot pusher with an almost 60-second time savings per knot [13]. These findings were confirmed clinically by a 14-minute reduction in crossclamp in minimally invasive CK fastening of mitral annuloplasty rings with a mean of 15 knots per patient [14].…”

“…Chlopenní náhrada je tak fi xována v celém rozsahu aortálního anulu se srovnatelnou silou [17], což při "ručním" uzlení může být obtížné obzvláště v oblasti za výběžky biologických chlopenních náhrad. Nezanedbatelným pozitivem je i zkrácení doby aortální svorky a operačního času [17]. Levnější alternativou je uzlení stehů pomocí knot pusherů, což vyžaduje větší zkušenost operačního týmu s touto technikou.…”
