Health and well-being are vitally important aspects of people centric building design and are the roots of productivity. Sick building syndrome (SBS) is a collection of factors that can negatively affect physical health in several ways. Besides physical health is also related to psychological well-being because the human body is one interactive biological system. This paper focuses on reviewing the current state of knowledge on building sickness syndrome which has been prevalent as a building illness since the 1970s especially in offices and schools. While the concepts of intelligent, smart and sustainable buildings have gained considerable attention during recent decades, there is now increasing attention being given to designing healthy buildings. This study provides a review about SBS symptoms. Several negative effects of SBS are identified and potential solutions are advocated. Finally, the study stresses the role of built environment and concludes that ongoing research towards tackling SBS and developing healthy indoor environments should not be limited to a single formula as any health-related building design approach is dependent on several interacting factors. santrauka. Straipsnyje pateikiami daugiabučių gyvenamųjų namų vėdinimo parametrų eksperimentiniai tyrimai, kurie buvo atlikti šildymo sezono metu. Tyrimų rezultatai rodo, kad esamuose daugiabučiuose namuose dažniausiai nėra užtikrinamos higieninės sąlygos, kurios yra tiesiogiai susijusios su šių namų vėdinimu. Taip pat straipsnyje pateikiama daugiabučio vėdinimo sistemų atnaujinimo galimybių analizė. Ekonomiškai išnagrinėti keturi vėdinimo sistemų atnaujinimo variantai. Atlikus ekonominę analizę, nustatyta, jog ekonominiu aspektu geriausias mechaninio vėdinimo sprendimas tipiniame daugiabučiame name yra centralizuota vėdinimo sistema, veikianti kombinuotai su gruntiniu šilumos siurbliu, kai tiekiamieji ortakiai montuojami ant pastato fasadų, o ištraukimas vyksta esamais natūralios vėdinimo sistemos kanalais.Reikšminiai žodžiai: daugiabučiai gyvenamieji namai, vėdinimas, oro parametrų tyrimas, ekonominė analizė. ĮvadasLietuva geografiniu požiūriu yra vidutinių platumų klimato juostoje, todėl šalyje būdingi ryškūs keturi metų laikai. Tyrimų duomenimis, šaltuoju metų laiku žmonės vidutiniš-kai iki 90 % viso savo laiko praleidžia uždarose patalpose, iš kurių daugiausiai -savo namuose, todėl, norint išvengti negalavimų, didelę reikšmę turi gyvenamųjų namų vėdi-nimo sistema ir jos nuolat užtikrinami norminiai oro kokybės parametrai. Dėl daugelio priežasčių įdiegti vienų ar kitų techninių sprendimų vėdinimo sistemas sudėtingiausia daugiabučiuose pastatuose. Būtent šių pastatų gyventojai labiausiai susiduria su problemomis, kylančiomis dėl nepakankamo šviežio oro kiekio patekimo į patalpas. Visuose Lietuvoje esančiuose senos statybos bei 95 % renovuotuose ir naujai pastatytuose daugiabučiuose pastatuose yra įrengta natūrali vėdinimo sistema (Dargis 2009). Tačiau pastatai, nuolat kylant energijos sąnaudoms bei tobulėjant statybų technologijoms, tampa praktiškai hermetiški -sandarūs langai, durys ir sienos beveik nepraleidžia oro, todėl per juos į patalpas infiltruojamas šviežio oro kiekis labai sumažėja, o šaltuoju metų laiku vėdinti patalpas per atidarytas orlaides ar langus yra energiniu požiūriu neefektyvu. Taip vėdinant patalpas vidutiniškai prarandama iki 50 % bendrosios energijos būste (Laverge et al. 2011), ir tai lemia dideles gyventojų šildymo sąskaitas. Taip pat neorganizuotas vėdinimas sukelia gyventojams nemažą diskomfortą, nes patalpose nukrenta temperatūra. Esant tik tokiai patalpų vėdinimo per atvirus langus galimybei, daugiabučiai gyvenamieji pastatai tampa praktiškai nevėdinami arba vėdinami nepakankamai. The thermal properties of wood-plastic composites (WPCs) and typical heating floor substrates heated by an electrothermal film were studied. Their effects on human feelings and the human autonomic nerve system were also investigated. The temperature changes of the specimens during heating and cooling were analyzed with an infrared thermal imager. People's subjective feelings of touching different materials were analyzed with a semantic differential (SD) technique, and their electrocardiography was recorded with a multi-channel physiological signal acquisition system. The thermal conductivity, temperature variation, tactile impression, and heart rate variability of WPCs and other heating floor substrates were investigated. The WPCs presented a markedly lower thermal conductivity and superior tactile impression compared with ceramic tile, which has a similar density to WPCs. There was a negative correlation between the scores of the warm-cool feeling and the density of the heating floor substrates under room temperature (19 °C ± 1 °C), and a positive correlation when heated (33 °C ± 1 °C). The thermal conductivity and heat storage capacity of WPC were higher than those of solid wood. Electric heating composite floors with a high comfort level and good thermal properties could be manufactured by combining WPCs and solid wood.
