Neste artigo, uma estrutura de controle Proporcional-Integral-Derivativo (PID) descentralizado com desacoplamento invertido e projetado e implementado em uma unidade industrial de Hidrotratamento (HDT) de Diesel. A unidade HDT é composta por dois reatores com dois leitos catalíticos cada. O controle de temperatura de cada leito é perturbado por flutuações nas temperaturas dos leitos anteriores, além de outras perturbações inerentes ao processo. Desconsiderar essa interação no projeto do controlador PID torna o desempenho diferente do desejado. Detalhes da implementação do desacoplador invertido no sistema digital de controle são apresentados. Alem disso, resultados reais de comparação do desempenho das malhas de controle de temperatura são analisados e discutidos.

Ublicherweise werden chemische Prozesse zunachst fur einen stationaren Arbeitspunkt entwickelt und optimiert. Erst anschlie-Bend werden die Struktur der Regelkreise und die einzelnen Regler ausgelegt. Es kann vorkommen, daR der entworfene ProzeB uber so ungunstige dynamische Eigenschaften verfiigt (z. B. aufgrund eines hohen Integrationsgrades), daR Modifikationen am ProzeB selbst und/oder an der Struktur der Regelkreise vorgenommen werden mussen, was beides Zeit und Geld kostet. Dynamische Simulationen des Prozesses konnen helfen, diese Probleme zu erkennen und zu vermeiden. Dafur wird aber ein geeignetes dynamisches ProzeBmodell fur die Simulationssoftware benotigt. Auch rnit den heute verfugbaren Rechenleistungen kosten Simulationen relativ vie1 Zeit. Will man mehrere ProzeBvarianten vergleichen und bewerten, so entsteht schnell ein unakzeptabler Aufwand. Das dynamische Verhalten einer chemischen Anlage kann in zwei Kategorien unterteilt werden. Einmal kann das Verhalten bei groBen Anderungen des Betriebszustandes des Prozesses (z.B. Anfahren der Anlage) betrachtet werden, zum anderen nur das Verhalten in der Nahe eines stationaren Arbeitspunktes. Diese Arbeit befaBt sich nur rnit der zweiten Kategorie, also der Untersuchung der Regelbarkeit. Unter Regelbarkeit wird dabei die Eigenschaft einer Anlage verstanden, den stationaren Arbeitspunkt bei Verwendung einer beliebigen Feedback-Regelung moglichst gut einzuhalten. Die Regelbarkeit ist somit nur als eine Eigenschaft des Prozesses zu verstehen und nicht der Regler. Ziel dieser Arbeit sol1 es sein, schon im fruhen Planungsstadium aus den Eigenschaften der Anlage einfache Kriterien abzuleiten, die eine Beurteilung des dynamischen Verhaltens erlauben, und ungunstige Alternativen von vornherein auszuscheiden.

Process automation involves both steady‐state optimization and feedback control. In this paper, the economic optimum steady‐state operating conditions for a petroleum crude distillation process are determined using a tray‐to‐tray model. This model is used to evaluate the steady‐state operation achieved with several multivariable process control designs. Only one controller design was found to result in essentially optimum steady‐state operation; others deviated significantly. The method applied in this paper relies on a knowledge of the key disturbances occurring in the process; good economic performance may not be obtained should other disturbance types occur. The results demonstrate the importance of implementing the operations optimization through a control strategy which will respond properly to disturbances.
