Comparison of Iliac Bone Transplantation with Bone Transport in the Treatment of Femur Fracture and Bone Defect

Abstract: Objective. To compare the curative effect of iliac bone transplantation with the bone transport in the treatment of femur fracture complicated with a bone defect. Methods. Patients with femur fractures and defects who were admitted to our hospital from January 1, 2020, to January 31, 2022, and met the inclusion criteria were retrospectively selected and allocated into an iliac bone transplantation group or a bone transport group. The treatment effect and quality of life of the two groups were compared. Results… Show more

“…Soak the Gel-OCS/MBGNs@EVs in a 15 mL centrifuge tube containing 4 mL of PBS. At different time points (1,3,6,9,12,15,18, and 21 days), 100 μL of supernatant was replaced with 100 μL of fresh PBS. The concentration of EVs in the supernatant was evaluated by detecting the fluorescence intensity of DiR (Ex: 754 nm, Em: 778 nm) in the supernatant.…”

“…The use of bone transplantation utilizes the principle of "tension-stress law". During the puncture process outside the body, the steel nail is fixed on the bone in the fracture area, and the bone is gradually lengthened by bone cutting [1]. During this process, both elongation and compression regions benefit the formation of calli until the bone defect is healed [2,3].…”
