ObjectiveTo investigate the influence of quality of life (QOL) on unhealthy emotions as well as relevant factors among patients with endometriosis for supporting relevant clinical care.MethodsA convenience sampling method was used to administer questionnaires to 139 patients with endometriosis, using the Hamilton Anxiety Inventory (HAMA), the Depression Anxiety Scale (SDS), and the SF-12 Health Survey Short Form, and the results were analyzed. The SPSS20.0 software was used for statistical analysis on relevant data. If P < 0.05, there was statistical significance.ResultsTwelve-Item Short Form (SF-12) for health survey covered two comprehensive indexes, i.e., physical component summary (PCS) and mental component summary (MCS) scores. MCS score was the main factor influencing anxiety and depression in patients with endometriosis; the higher the MCS score, the lower the anxiety and depression degrees in patients with endometriosis (OR = 0.912, 95% CI: 0.877–0.949; OR = 0.899, 95% CI: 0.866–0.933). PCS score was a factor influencing anxiety degree; the higher the PCS score, the lower the anxiety degree (OR = 0.936, 95% CI: 0.891–0.983).ConclusionThe QOL of patients with endometriosis is negatively correlated with anxiety and depression. Therefore, improvement in QOL may help relevant patients to relieve their unhealthy emotions.

Bu çalışmanın amacı sağlıkla ilişkili yaşam kalitesini değerlendirmek için geliştirilen ve en sık kullanılan ölçekler arasında yer alan SF-12 Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği'nin Türkçe formunun psikometrik özelliklerini inceleyerek uzun formu olan SF-36 ile benzer sonuçlar verip vermediğini belirlemektir.Yöntem: Çalışmaya yaş aralığı 18 ile 29 arasında değişen (22,04±2,35) 138 genç, 60 ile 80 arasında değişen (67,27±5,22) 52 yaşlı olmak üzere toplam 190 yetişkin dâhil edilmiştir. Ölçeğin kapsam, birleşen ve ayrışan, kriter ve bilinen gruplar geçerliği EQ-5D-3L ve CES-D ölçekleri ile arasındaki ilişkiler incelenerek, güvenirliği ise iç tutarlık ile madde-toplam puan katsayıları hesaplanarak ve test-tekrar test uygulaması yapılarak sınanmıştır.Bulgular: Ölçeğin iç tutarlık katsayıları tatmin edici düzeyde (bileşenler için α=0,73 ve α=0,72) bulunmuştur. Orijinal çalışma ile tutarlı olarak, SF-12'nin fiziksel ve mental bileşenleri SF-36'nın bileşenleri ile güçlü bir şekilde ilişkili bulunmuş ve varyansın sırasıyla %86,6'sını ve %92,4'ünü açıklamıştır. Birleşen ve ayrışan geçerliğini destekler bir şekilde, SF-12'nin bileşenleri aynı yapıyı ölçen EQ-5D-3L'nin alt boyutları ve CES-D ile orta düzey veya güçlü bir şekilde ilişkili bulunurken, farklı yapıyı ölçen alt boyutlarla ilişkisiz veya düşük düzeyde ilişkili bulunmuştur.Sonuç: Çalışmanın sonuçları SF-12'nin Türkçe formunun psikometrik özelliklerinin orijinal versiyonuyla benzerlik gösterdiğini, dolayısıyla SF-36'ya alternatif olarak ülkemizde yapılacak uygulama ve araştırmalarda kullanılabileceğini göstermektedir.
