Abstract:In this paper, using discrete event stochastic simulation by batch-means, new results have been obtained by comparing the tele-traffic models commonly used to analyze the capacity of the CDMA system. The traffic capacity of independent M/M/oo cells and homogeneous system of cells are compared. The results indicate that at low blocking probabilities (up to 3% ifshadowing included and up to 5% without shadowing), the two system models have up to 5% difference in traffic capacity while at high blocking probabilit… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
