Abstract: In a world facing the challenges of climate change, it is imperative to prioritize the search for sustainable technical solutions. This study focuses on evaluating the environmental impact of using bio-coke compared to traditional metallurgical coke, employing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) as the evaluation tool. Bio-coke, produced from a blend of coking coals enriched with biomass, offers greater environmental potential than traditional coke due to a reduced share of non-renewable raw materials.
