Comparison of 99mTc(V)-DMSA with 99mTc-EDDA/HYNIC-Tyr3-Octreotide Scintigraphy in the detection of Medullary Thyroid Tumor Foci in a patient with elevated level of Calcitonin after surgery: a case report

Abstract: Background: Technetium-99m pentavalent dimercaptosuccinic acid [ 99m Tc(V)-DMSA] scintigraphy exhibits a crucial role in the preoperative assessment of residual or recurrent medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC).
