“…This would reduce the formation of rigidified polymer area around the particles or sieve‐in‐a‐cage defects, a major problem that is more frequent in glassy polymers. Separation performance of various fillers in PEBA‐based MMMs was reported previously, such as ZIF‐300, 19 MOF‐801, 20 ZIF‐7, 21 SAPO‐34, 22 ZIF‐8, 23–26 , MIL‐101(Cr), 26 carbon nanotubes, 27,28 NaX, 29,30 TiO 2 , 31 ZSM‐5, 32 Fe 2 O 3 , 33 UiO‐66, 26,34 CuBTC, 15–17 and ZIF‐67 35 . Since ZIF‐67 and ZIF‐8 have similar size‐sieving pore diameters, comparing their separation performance would reveal other influential factors in their structure.…”

“…The 15 wt%IL@ZIF‐8 can increase the CO 2 permeability by 45%, CO 2 /CH 4 selectivity by 92%, and CO 2 /N 2 selectivity by 74%, respectively 35 . Rodrigue et al prepared MMMs based on Pebax by ZIF‐67 and a commercial ZIF‐8 to determine the effect of MOF weight percentage (0, 2, 3, 4, and 5 wt%) on gas permeability and found that ZIF‐8 and ZIF‐67 content increased the CO 2 permeability by 85% (130 barrer) and 130% (162 barrer), respectively, compared with the pristine Pebax membrane 36 . Feng et al successfully synthesized ZIF‐67 NS/Pebax MMMs and observed that 5.0 wt% ZIF‐67 nanoflakes incorporated in the MMMs enhanced both the CO 2 permeability to 139.4 barrer and the CO 2/ N 2 selectivity to 73.2, which correspond to an increase by 50.7% and 76.0%, respectively 37 .…”
