“…Serum immunoglobulins and complement components (Clq, C4, C3, B, CllN H) were within normal range. No breakdown products of C3 and of factor B were observed after incubation of the patient's serum with normal serum, EDTA, or MgCL EGTA normal plasma [12], thus excluding any anticomplcmentary activity either through the classic or the alternative complement pathway.
