“…Most patients of ALBI grade 1 had CTP score A. The majority (27 of 33) of CTP class B patients were ALBI grade 2 and all ALBI grade 3 patients were also CTP class B [24]. While correlating ALBI grade 1 and 2 with CTP class A and B, our result nearly similar with this study.…”

“…This study showed for the first time that ALBI grade can better stratify these patients. Their results have also been confirmed by Oh Is et al 41 and CH Lo et al 42 Also, our meta-analysis confirms that ALBI grade is currently one of the best indexes for predicting survival in this patient subset. As shown by other works at different disease stages, 43 45 ALBI grade is better predictive index than Child–Pugh, as the latter is composed of 5 arbitrary parameters, whereas the former is formed by only 2 non-arbitrary parameters (albumin and bilirubin).…”

“…Figure 1 reports the search strategy used in this meta-analysis. Thirty-four 9 42 studies published between 2003 and 2017 were analyzed. They included 11,216 HCC patients treated with RFA.…”

“…In keeping with this current study, however, baseline CP was also not found to be a significant predictor of OS 20 . A recent retrospective analysis of Taiwanese HCC patients treated with SBRT found ALBI grade 2 vs. 1 to be a significant predictor of OS on univariate (but not multivariable) analysis and both ALBI and CP were found effective in predicting radiation-induced liver disease 21 . The retrospective nature, shorter median follow-up and smaller proportion (38%) of patients with macrovascular invasion in the above analysis make this a different population to the prospective series presented here.…”
