Comparing the Effectiveness of Leach and Teen Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract

Routing protocols influence the effectiveness of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The WSNs are made up of a huge number of tiny nodes that process, store, or transfer information over a small area due to their tiny size. Information transmitted through these systems has a specific amount of typical jitter, throughput, and start-tofinish delay. The (WSN) can better utilize its limited battery power thanks to routing. One of the most important routing techniques, hierarchical routing, deals with the equal distribution of load throughout the network, leading to the network's long-term charm. The performance of the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) and Threshold-sensitive Energy Efficient Network (TEEN) protocols will be paralleled. In this paper the comparison will mostly focus on futures like energy, node alive, nodes data, and period. WSN will leverage CBR and video traffic to contrast these aspects. The goal of the aforementioned routing methods is to make nodes' actualities longer. The cost-effective creation of communication between nodes and the Base Station (BS) is another goal of this paper. A tool called NS-3 will be used for simulation.
