Abstract:A comparative study is performed to explore the operability and safety of 450-tonne displacement Fast Patrol Search and Rescue (FPSR) vessels designed with monohull and SWATH configurations. The first part addresses the peculiar designs of Monohull and SWATH FPSRs.
