Abstract: Background Laparoscopic cholecystectomy has changed the surgical management of cholelithiasis and has become the mainstay of the management of uncomplicated gallstone disease. Adequate postoperative pain relief leading to early ambulation is imperative for patient satisfaction and early discharge of the patient.
