“…[4,7] We, therefore, studied the reaction of reduced cobinamide with hydrogen sulfide. In alkaline solutions (pH 9.4 – 11.4), the reaction of Cbi(II) with hydrogen sulfide was accompanied by a rapid decrease in absorbance at 469 nm and appearance of new intense bands at 417, 471, and 711 nm with clean isosbestic points at 445 and 500 nm (Figure S20).…”

“…[16,17] Interaction of Cbi(III) with various L ligands leads to formation of (L)Cbi(III) or (L) 2 Cbi(III) complexes. [4, 16] …”

“…An exception we found was SCN À which is N-bound in the solid state; however, we obtained NMR evidence to show that in solution it existed as a nearly equal mixture of two species which we took to be the N-and S-bound thiocyanato complexes. There is also a report of a crystal structure of SCNCbl in which the thiocyanato ligand is bound through S. Recent DFT calculations (BP86, B3LYP) suggest that the isothiocyanato isomer predominates in complexes with cob(III)alamin and cob(II)alamin [69]. For the anionic ligands we note that values of DK = log K 10H À log K 10Z roughly correlate with the spectrochemical series [70], viz, SCN À < N 3 À < NCS À < NO 2 À < SO 3 2À (although NO 2 À is usually [71] higher in the spectrochemical series than SO 3 2À ).…”

“…Добавление цианамида к кобинамиду при рН 9,2 (последний находится в слабощелочной среде преимущественно в аквагидроксоформе [4] ) приводит к двум последовательным изменениям в спектре (Рисунок 4). На первой стадии происходит снижение интенсивности поглощения при 347 нм, исчезновение полосы поглощения при 517 нм, соответствующей исходному комплексу (Рисунок 4, спектр 1) и появление новой полосы при 514 нм (Рисунок 4, спектр 2).…”
