Abstract:Objective: Endogenous prostaglandins are involved in hemostasis, renal excretion of electrolytes, and implicated in dysmenorrhea. Piroxicam and Nitroglycerin are common drugs used in treating dysmenorrhea by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase pathway involved in prostaglandin production.
