Abstract:Hybrid metal matrix composites have superior strength to weight ratio as compared with conventional composites or superalloys. This characteristic makes them suitable for different advanced industries such as aerospace, automobile, and biomedical. Mechanical and thermal energy based processes have their own limitations to machine these composites due to superior mechanical properties and melting of reinforcement particles, respectively. Researchers are trying to machine metal matrix composites by the electroch… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
