Comparative Study of Enhancement of Corrosion Resistance of Stainless Steel Alloy by Plasma Spray Technique and Biomimetic Deposition

Abstract: In this study, hydroxyapatite (HAP) coating was deposited on substrate of stainless steel alloy by biomimetic deposition and plasma spray technique. The corrosion resistance of plasma sprayed and biomimetic coating was compared with the help of electrochemical corrosion testing with respect to uncoated samples.
