Comparative study in patients treated by negative pressure wound therapy versus conventional wound treatment for abdominal wounds

Abstract: Background: The use of negative pressure to enhance wound healing is a well-known notion. If excess fluid is not effectively evacuated from a wound during surgery, its constituents may act as both physical and chemical impediments to wound healing.
