Abstract: Hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumonia (hvKP), typically linked with the hypermucoviscous phenotype, has evolved as a clinically significant pathogen responsible for catastrophic disseminated infections including osteomyelitis, pyogenic liver abscesses (PLA), and endophthalmitis in an otherwise younger and healthier population.
