“…Progressive rod cell death starts at around postnatal day (P) 16, at which time HVS regression is still in progress 16 , which allows correlating HVS regression with ocular structural deformities. Comparative OCTA study of wild-type (WT) and rd10 mice has also revealed a severe retinal deep capillary plexus (DCP) malfunction tightly correlated with the onset of photoreceptor degeneration 17 .
