“…All this data was in favour of overall alteration of central and autonomic nervous system development secondary to preterm birth. In contrast, changes in pain reactivity have already been described in infants subjected to a stay in the NICU or in those experiencing a greater frequency of painful challenges in the neonatal period regardless of the birth term (8,24). These data were in favour of a conditioning hypothesis resulting from inappropriate stimuli during postnatal care, independently of prematurity.…”

“…(20) preterm bebeklerde ardı ardına yapılan üç topuk delme işleminde, kalp tepe atım değerlerinin arttığını, üçüncü topuk delme işleminde ilk iki işleme göre kalp tepe atımı değerlerindeki artış yüzdesinin daha fazla olduğunu tespit etmişlerdir. Son yıllarda tekrarlayan ağrının serebral oksijenizasyon üzerine etkisi ve deri iletkenliği ile ilgili çalışmalar yapılmaya başlanmıştır (21,22) . Halen tekrarlayan ağrının, uzun döneme yansıyan olumsuz etkilerini ortaya koyan çalışmaların sınırlı olduğu görülmektedir.…”
