For example, such hairs are located atop the four‐lobed ovary of Ballota acetabularia (Petanidou et al, 2000), Marrubium parviflorum (Naghiloo et al, 2014b), and Satureja thymbra (Dafni et al, 1988; Petanidou et al, 2000), with those of S. farinacea sharing a strong resemblance to the peltate, glandular hairs on nutlets of Teucrium massiliense (Marin et al, 1994) and related species (Navarro and El Oualidi, 2000), leaves of T. montanum (Mráz, 1998), and atop the ovary of Leonotus leonurus (Ascensão et al, 1995). Compared with the hairs on other floral organs, those peltate hairs of L. leonurus are initiated extremely early during floral ontogeny (Ascensão et al, 1995), just like at the ovary base in S. farinacea .…”
