“…As a well-known photocatalyst, the degradation of environmental contaminants has earned much attention from researchers (Rajamanickam and Shanthi, 2016[ 45 ]). Zinc salts has long been used as active ingredient in lubricants (Arfat et al, 2017[ 5 ]), and emollients by the pharmaceutical industry (Mirzaei and Darroudi, 2017[ 33 ]). ZnO NPs containing drugs are commonly used as wound remedies, anti-infection medical products and disinfectants.…”

“…While Ag-Cu nanoparticles (NP) were added to the PLA/PEG blend, the elastic modulus, G and the viscous modulus, G dropped significantly, and it indicates that the metallic NPs acted as a catalyst for the degradation of the blend above the melting temperature. Degradation of PLA in the presence of nanoparticles has been evident in the literature, and even it is recommended the use of silane-treated metallic oxide surface to prevent the degradation (Arfat, Ahmed, Al Hazza, Jacob, & Joseph, 2017). Mostly, it has found that at a higher filler concentration, G does not depend on the frequency at low frequencies, which could indicate a solid-like behavior (Bhatia, Gupta, Bhattacharya, & Choi, 2009).…”

“…It has been directly added during extrusion for economic reasons and mechanical properties of samples with and without silane have been compared. It is useful underline that this silane typology has been selected because of its good affinity with polyesters as reported in other works …”
