Comparative assessment of genetic diversity among the Asclepiadaceous species using randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers and numerical taxonomy system (NTSYS) cluster analysis
Abstract:Asclepiadaceae is an economically important family species which are the source of fiber, rubber and dyes. In this study, genetic variability has been determined in three species, that is, Tylophora hirsuta, Wattakaka volubilis and Cryptolepis buchananii. The aim of present study was to understand the extent and pattern of genetic diversity among the individuals of same and different species of Asclepiadaceae. To asses the level of polymorphism within the species and members of different species, randomly ampl… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
