Global geopolitical shifts that took
place in 2022 significantly changed the patterns and rules of
global economic life, resulting in problems of economic security
in almost all countries. These uncertain perspectives of economic
development also impacted our country. On the one hand, some
elements of revitalization of economic life are emerging, on the
other hand, new risks are appearing. Having an underdeveloped
economy, the Republic of Armenia faces both positive and
negative consequences of the above-mentioned economic
changes to a great extent. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to
study and improve the main directions that will ensure the
tangible economic progress of Armenia. Different directions of
economic policy should be coordinated. Otherwise, their
effectiveness can be very low. Currently, Armenia’s economic
growth is driven by sectors such as construction, IT, industry,
banking and catering. While some Armenian IT startup
companies achieved success internationally, it should be noted
that the number of startup companies developing global solutions
and entering international markets is very small, which does not
contribute to the faster and more stable development of the
ecosystem.
