Comparative Analysis of SHS and Stirling Engine System with Proposed Voltage Controller Model and the Economic Viability of the System

Abstract: The main objective of this paper is to address both technical and financial aspects of a solar home system compared to Stirling engine system with our proposed model. The solar dish Stirling engine with solar tracker, tracks the sun ray to provide higher output power at a less cost compared to Solar Home System (SHS). In this paper it is shown that our proposed voltage controller provides higher efficiency than the other existing controller system.

“…By comparing installation cost, fuel costs, and maintenance costs over 10 years, the renewable type water pumping system may be an economical choice. In one of the research paper, the 1kW-h of electricity that is generated by stirling engine using solar energy is only at the rate of 7.85 cents [2]. Solar energy has gained the attention of the researchers and developers as it provides mostly the heating, cooling and electricity needs of the world.…”
