Abstract: BACKGROUND The Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative (K/DOQI) of the National Kidney Foundation Practice Guideline as well as American Diabetes Association (ADA) recommends spot urine protein creatinine ratio (UPCR) proteinuria to assess proteinuria.
