Comparative analysis of hybrid fractal antennas: A review

Abstract: The comprehensive review of hybrid fractal antenna (HFA) has been presented in this article. Distinguished researchers have designed, analyzed, and investigated numerous types of HFA's as per the requirement of the market. Firstly, it gives introduction about the fractal antennas (FAs) along with the need of integration of the fractal geometries then research motivation. The extensive literature survey has been divided into three different parts as, fusion of same type of fractal geometries, amalgamation of tw… Show more

“…For its UWB features, the suggested radiating patch structure employs numerous hexagons to create fractal geometry. The hexagon antenna receives microwave power via the CPW (coplanar waveguide feed) [2,4,7]. The modified microstrip feed has a two-step construction to match the antenna's input impedance and the power-fed connector's output impedance to 50 ohms.…”

“…All of these demands necessitate the creation of highly effective, small-sized, and low-profile antennas that can be integrated into wireless devices. It is anticipated that the commercial deployment of 5G will be approximately in the early 2020s [1][2][3].…”

“…This will improve the signal quality and overall reliability of the system. To further improve design performance, it may be helpful to consider additional factors such as radiation pattern, gain, bandwidth, and efficiency [27]. In wireless applications, a super-substrate defines the gap between the antennas and the separation between the first and second rows [28].…”
