Abstract:Different studies have shown that Vernonia amygdalina is enriched with proteins, fats, fibres, amino acids, minerals vitamins, and carbohydrates but no record yet on the level of heavy metals in Vernonia amygdalina collected from Ojota (dumpsite) and Badagry (control) in Lagos state.
