Abstract:We have developed a compact feedforward optical transmitter using an integrated optical module for in-building radio-over-fiber systems. The optical assembly contains a distributed-feedback laser diode, p-i-n photodiode, and 45 degree-angled beam splitter. The experimental results show that the IMD3 of uncooled laser is suppressed by 24.1 dB and spurious-free dynamic range is enhanced by 7 dB. Dispersionfree transmission experiment is implemented.I.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
