Compact and high‐performance UWB bandpass filter based on HMSIW

Abstract: In this Letter, a compact and high‐performance ultra‐wideband (UWB) bandpass filter based on half‐mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) is proposed. A novel slow‐wave structure with lowpass characteristics is developed and loaded on the HMSIW to obtain the UWB frequency response and realise size‐reduction. Moreover, two rectangular slots are etched on the transition structures of the microstrip‐to‐HMSIW to obtain a good UWB impedance matching. As a verification, a prototype is designed, simulated, fabric… Show more

“…The filter design demonstrated in [7][8][9][10][11] suffers from sharp selectivity. The design of filters depicted in [12][13][14][15][16][17][18] involves complex methods which require sophisticated procedures for achieving the narrow spacing between adjacent lines. For improving the selectivity of the structure, various methods are discussed in [19][20][21][22][23][24][25].…”
