Older adults who participated in intergenerational programs have cited feelings of helpfulness, usefulness, happiness, decreased isolation, improved self-esteem, and life satisfaction as perceived benefits resulting from their intergenerational interactions (Dellmann-Jenkins, 1994;Eggers & Hensley, 2004;Marx, Hubbard, Cohen-Mansfield, Dakheel-Ali, & Thein, 2005;Proller, 1989;Schirm, Ross-Alaolmolki, & Conrad, 1995;Scott, Reifman, Muslow & Feng, 2003;White, 2008).
