“…The model and strategy applied showed the inclusion of a social problem which involves the existence of slums in the city area in the planning phase. This problem was caught the attention of a group of communication science students from one private university in Indonesia (Sueb et al, 2020) and this led to the compilation of designs which emphasize community empowerment through slum structuring programs. The implementation was observed to have successfully transformed the slum into a tourist village which has attracted a lot of tourists from several regions within and from outside the country.…”
