Communication- and position-aware reconfigurable route optimization in large-scale mobile sensor networks

Abstract: We consider the problem of route selection and optimization for a mobile sensor network, which involves two nodes transferring information over a large area using a number of intermediate routers in the presence of noise, path loss, multipath fading, and interference. The communication-and position-aware reconfigurable (COMPARE) route optimization framework is proposed to improve the end-to-end throughput of the routes in the realistic communication environment. Initially, a communication-aware route selection… Show more

“…This estimated slack is further used for proper mobility control. Fida, Iqbal, and Ngo [177] proposed a new metric, called reception probability, and a throughput based route optimization method that employs the new metric. They used Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) [178] for finding the optimal configuration due to non-convexity of the problem.…”

“…Adnan Fida (2014), [3] proposed a route optimization technique known as COMPARE named as communication and position aware reconfigurable route optimization which provides end to end transmission. Route has selected after checking the quality of the link of the network through the probability of the successfully receiving packets over a link.…”
